ABOUT WORSHIP AT MLC
Join us Sundays at 9:30am!
Worship is at the center of our community life at Marin Lutheran. Each Sunday we gather in church together for about an hour to sing, pray, listen to God’s word, and to remind each other of God’s love for us and all the world.
The order of the service is found in the bulletin you’ll receive when you enter the church. We have greeters and an usher to help you find where to go and answer your questions.
We sing a variety of music from joyful and rhythmic Christian songs to more contemplative and traditional hymns. On occasion we break out the guitar and tambourines and at other times our worship takes on a musically sophisticated character evocative of the superb musical traditions that Lutherans are famous for.
We invite and welcome everyone to come forward to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion which is celebrated each Sunday. Children are encouraged to commune or come forward for a blessing.
Following worship, many people stay to greet each other and share stories over coffee and refreshments. We hope you’ll join us!
Whether it’s been years since you’ve been to church or you’re a regular church-goer – just new to our church, we want you to know you are welcome here! We hope that answering some of your questions will encourage you to join us for worship or at any of our many activities. If you need additional information please contact us or see FAQs for more information.
